# Performance Test in the Wild

On July 28, 2022, AltLayer hosted its very first mint event of AltLayer OG Badge NFTs on a mint-dedicated flash layer. During the mint event, the flash layer recorded a TPS of 50 with an average block-time of 2 sec.&#x20;

Note that this was not maximum throughput limits of the rollup, instead it represents the maximum number of transactions received in a second in real-time during the event. In fact, a flash layer with the same specification and configuration was stress tested to 2.5k TPS prior to the event as shown below.
